Counseling is a rather a process of helping a person by providing guidance, moral support, and exploring solutions for the problems being faced. The relationship between a Counsellor and a Counselee is based on a good communication and mutual trust. Counseling helps individual to attain the end goal, i.e. helping the counselee to get the solutions to his problems. Career Counselling is a process that focuses on helping one understands one’s self, as well as work trends, to make an informed decision about their career and education. Whether you are in the process of choosing a career, or in the midst of a career change, having a professional by your side always helps. Career counselling helps in getting the right guidance to help set your long-term goals professionally and achieve them through scientifically developed aptitude tests and personality tests.

Usually, the perfect time for students to seek Career Counselling is during class 8th standard to 12th standard. This is a time of many changes taking place in their life, physical, mental, social and emotional, such as transitioning from school to college etc. It is also a time when career decisions are generally made where they need someone to guide them in the right direction at this time. Most of the parents are actively involved in shaping their wards careers. It sometimes works and most of the times, it doesn’t. We can attribute this to the fact that every child is unique, and it is extremely hard for parents or teachers to always recognize the child’s strengths or weaknesses, and his passion or dislikes.
